A man has appeared from custody at the North and West Cumbria Magistrates in Carlisle following an alleged assault in Workington on Sunday May 10.
Colin Donald Berry, of Shore Road, Salterbeck, Workington pleaded not-guilty to this accusation.
The 28-year-old did plead guilty to criminal damage on Thursday November 7 last year, he damaged a Vape stand in the Moorclose Pharmacy valued approximately £20, he also pleaded guilty to causing damage at the Ladbrokes betting shop in Workington, where he damaged numerous items in a public toilet, including a water-pipe, cistern, waste pipe, toilet seat, sanitary bin and an extractor fan valued at approximately £1,500.
District Judge Gerald Chalk remanded Berry in custody to appear by video-link on May 21, a trial for the alleged assault charge is expected to take place on June 26.
