Three fire engines have attended a person’s reported fire on Sutherland Street, Barrow-in-Furness.
Fire crews were called at 4:59am today, Monday 8 June.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One casualty was rescued by firefighters suffering from smoke inhalation.
“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and also checked adjoining properties for any fire spread.
“Crews were detained approximately one hour and forty five minutes.”
