A Cumbrian hypnotherapist will be answering calls on a free relationship helpline set up to support families during the coronavirus pandemic.
Kevin Porter will be on the helpline along with county-based solicitor Judith Bell, of Merrick family law. The practice set up the helpline earlier in lockdown to offer free support on divorce, separation, domestic abuse and other relationship issues.
The phoneline – 0800 285 1413 – is available 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Kendal-based Kevin will be available on Monday (June 22). He operates globally, helping people with issues such as anxiety, depression and stress. Judith is an experienced family lawyer, well-versed in the strain that extreme situations can place on family relationships.
Merrick principal Amanda Merrick said: “Family relationships are under pressure like never before during the coronavirus lockdown – and we want to do all we can to help.”
Merrick’s regular law-to-door sessions in Cumbria have had to be suspended until lockdown restrictions are further lifted.
