A WEST Cumbria woman has heard she could receive a prison sentence for her role in class A drugs supply crimes.
Katie Cook, 36, entered guilty pleas to two charges when she appeared at Carlisle Crown Court this afternoon (FRI).
Cook admitted being concerned in supplying both cocaine and heroin to another, offences which took place, respectively, during October, 2018, and February last year.
Cook’s case was adjourned by Judge Nicholas Barker, who asked for the preparation of a probation officer pre-sentence report. Cook, of Roper Terrace, Salterbeck, Workington, was granted bail and is due to receive her punishment at the crown court on a date to be fixed.
“You should understand these are serious offences and custody will be in the court’s mind,” Judge Barker told Cook, noting she had submitted a formal basis for her guilty pleas. “But all options will also be considered.”
