A WORKINGTON man is set to be sentenced next month for offences of violence and illegal knife possession.
Ashley William Tremble, 52, pleaded guilty to one charge when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.
Tremble, of Salterbeck Road, admitted affray, in that on May 5 he used or threatened unlawful violence towards another, and that his conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for their personal safety.
Judge Nicholas Barker adjourned the case for a probation service pre-sentence report, directing that it should address all potential punishment options.
“Your (guilty) plea will stand you in good stead,” Judge Barker told Tremble. “You will receive credit (sentence reduction) for that.”
Tremble is due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 16 for the affray, and also for the illegal possession of a knife in public at Workington – an offence he admitted at an earlier magistrates’ court hearing. In the meantime was remanded in custody by the judge.
