Four men from the Durham area have appeared at the magistrates court in Carlisle today (MON) facing charges of conspiracy.
The allegation is that between October 2 and November 11, 2018, at Carlisle they conspired together to acquire, use or possess criminal property, namely monies £29,000.
The youngest 19-year-old James William McMeekin gave his address as Ash Green Way, Bishop Auckland, Durham.

Christopher Alan Steele, 30, of Clough Dene, Tantobie Stanley, Durham.
The fourth defendant is John Joseph McMeekin, 49, from Ash Green, Bishop Auckland.
Magistrates were told this was a case of “roofing fraud” against an elderly gentleman from Carlisle.
