Colleagues from David Allen have donated generously to Carlisle Foodbank following an appeal to help local families.
On Friday 19 June Alison Welton, Managing Partner at David Allen, delivered a trolley worth of food and household supplies to Carlisle Food bank.
David Allen introduced the donation scheme during Mental Health Awareness week in May, where the key theme was kindness.
Alison Welton said: “We are over the moon with the amount of donations we have collected in just over a month. We were aware of the increased need for food donations in the city in recent weeks and we wanted to do our bit.
“Our team have been working extremely hard during the Coronavirus pandemic, so for them to also focus on donating items is fantastic.”
A spokeswoman from Carlisle Food Bank said: “We are very thankful for the donation from the team at David Allen. We support between 80 to 90 families a week and demand has been very high recently, so we rely on donations from businesses and the public. These donations will help a lot of people who really need it most.”
