Emergency services were called to Walney yesterday afternoon (9 July) following a collision which has left a cyclist with serious injuries.
Police were called at 5pm to a report of a cyclist having collided with a trailer, which was stationary and parked at the side of the road.
The collision occurred on the Promenade, close to the junction with Central Drive.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “An air ambulance attended the scene and the cyclist, a local man in his 60s, was taken to hospital.”
