On Thursday 9 July 2020 at around 4pm, police were called to a report of a collision on the Promenade on Walney Island, Barrow.
The incident involved a single cyclist who had collided with a stationery vehicle.
As a result of the collision, the cyclist, 66-year-old Ronnie Warriner from Barrow, was taken to Preston General Hospital but sadly died yesterday (14 July).
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
