Driver seriously injured in south Cumbria collision

POLICE are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred around 7.30pm on Saturday evening (18 July) on the B5284 Crook Road.

The incident involved a red Vauxhall Corsa, which was travelling in the direction of Crook.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20’s was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he is in a stable condition.”

Anyone who may have been driving on Crook Road around the time of the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle is encouraged to get in contact with the PC 2400 on 101, quoting incident number 210 of 18 July.
