Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A689 at Crosby Moor at around 4pm on Friday (July 17), near Crosby Moor garage.
The collision involved a HGV and a pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The pedestrian, a man, 47, from north Cumbria, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he was in a stable condition.”
