Two arrested after serious assault in Barrow

POLICE are investigating a serious assault which has occurred between midnight and 1am on Saturday morning (18 July) close to the junction of Abbey Road and West View Road.

The victim has sustained a serious injury to his face and attended Furness General Hospital for treatment.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two local teenage males have been arrested in connection with this incident and have been released on police bail for further enquiries.”
