POLICE are investigating an assault that happened on Sunday (26 July) at about 12.10am on Kent Street.
Three men followed a young woman out of a takeaway down Kent Street. One man, described as mixed race with a Liverpool accent, then attempted to break a window on the woman’s car.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The woman’s boyfriend, who was sat in the car, got out. The man then assaulted him, causing facial injuries.
“The suspects are believed to be in their 20s.”
