POLICE are investigating an assault and public order offence which occurred at approximately 8:10pm Monday evening (10 August), outside the Co-Operative on Stonegarth.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “During the incident, a man is alleged to have punched another man in the face and was also alleged to have shouted abuse at members of the public.
“The man was described as wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans, black trainers and a black wrist support on his left wrist at the time of incident.”
