Woman hurt in Barrow assault

POLICE are investigating an assault that occurred on Stewart Street, Barrow at 12.30am on 26th August.

It is reported the incident was between a man and a woman.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 33-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to Furness General Hospital for treatment.”

Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101 and ask to speak with an officer from the South Crime and Safeguarding Team, quoting incident number 6 of 26 August. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
