Appeal after anti-Semitic comments shouted in Carlisle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a male shouted anti-Semitic comments on Church Street in Carlisle.

The incident occurred at about 3pm on Saturday August 29.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “There is no place for hate on the streets of Cumbria and these type of incidents are dealt with vigorously and appropriately.”

Anyone with information should contact PC 2870 Willis on 101, referring to incident 160 of September 2 – or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
