Man punched in face in Workington attack

Police are investigating an assault which occurred on Oxford Street, Workington, around 8pm on Tuesday 8th September 2020.

A man, in his fifties, was punched in the face by an unknown male while waiting for a bus at the bus stop outside Workington Town Hall, causing injuries to his face.

The offender is described as a white male, approximately 5’8 tall, medium build, with short, sandy hair. He was wearing a dark coloured puffer jacket. He was seen in company with another male and two females walking in the direction of Park Lane after the assault.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident and anyone who can assist in identifying a suspect.
