Walney woman charged with eighth count of perverting the course of justice

A woman from Walney has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Eleanor Williams, 19, of Teasdale Road, Walney, is currently on remand having been charged previously with seven counts of perverting the course of justice.

She is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 30 September 2020 in respect of the new charge.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The new charge relates to an offence alleged to have been committed on May 19, 2020.

“The seven previous charges are alleged to have taken place between October 2017 and October 2019.”
