Appeal after disability-aggravated hate crime in Carlisle

Police are investigating an incident of disability-aggravated hate crime that occurred around 6:20pm on 5 September at the bottom of Scotch Street, onto West Tower Street in Carlisle.

Two women in their 40’s were verbally abused by two men.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “One of the men is described as being 6ft 4in, of stocky build, with short dark brown hair. The other man is described as being 5ft 6in, of slim build, with short curly black hair.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact PC 2606 on 101, quoting incident number 204 of 5 September.
