Penrith man arrested after man hurt in Botchergate attack

Police are investigating an assault on Botchergate, Carlisle outside of The Griffin. The incident occurred on 20th September at approximately 10:40pm.

A man in his 40s was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with a head injury which is not believed to be serious.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 25-year-old from Penrith was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and released under investigation.”
