Police appeal after girl grabbed in Carlisle

Police are investigating a suspicious incident in Carlisle.

A teenage girl was approached by a man, who grabbed her arm before releasing it when someone else approached.

The incident occurred at around 7.40am on September 15, in an alleyway between Marks Avenue and Orton Road.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “She was not harmed during the incident but officers are investigating and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“The man was white, described as being of average height and of a stocky build. He had a dark moustache and a heart-shaped tattoo on his hand.”
