Police are investigating an incident of theft that occurred on 26 September at around 10:15pm, from a compound off Mardale Road in Penrith.
A HGV and trailer were taken from the compound.
Two suspicious persons were seen in the area at approximately 9pm, prior to this theft.
The HGV cab was a white cab with a red stripe and the trailer was red with ‘Alan GLENDINNING’ branding down the sides.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The HGV cab was recovered at 11:45pm, that night, by the Police from a layby on the A6.
“The trailer was located on 27 September by Police in Warrington, following information passed from members of the public.
“The contents of the trailer, which included milkshakes and chocolate were found to be stolen.”
