Police are investigating an incident of theft that occurred on St Nicholas Bridge, Carlisle, sometime between 9:45am and 10:15am on 8 October.
A woman in her fifties was crossing St Nicholas Bridge, when four men surrounded her and have taken a quantity of cash from her purse.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “One of the men is described as around 6ft tall, of slim build, he was wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit and spoke with a European accent.
“Another was described as 6ft 2ins tall, of stocky build, he has short brown hair and was seen wearing a black tracksuit at the time of incident.”
