Police are investigating an incident of burglary that occurred at an address on Folly Lane, Penrith, at around 12:30pm on 14th October.
A man has entered the property via the front door and gone upstairs where he was found by the occupant before making off from the residential property. Nothing was taken.
He is described as a white man in his 40’s, of stocky build, he was wearing blue trousers and a blue top with a white collarĀ and carrying a parcel with him which did not belong to the occupant.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, they would also like to remind residents to ensure they keep their properties secure by ensuring all doors and windows are locked.”
