Man critical following Carlisle collision

Police were contacted at 3:27pm on 22nd October to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the junction between Lindisfarne Street and Linton Street, Carlisle.

The collision involved an electric bike and a Volkswagen Golf.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The rider of the bike, a 42-year-old man, was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

“The driver and passenger of the Golf were uninjured.

“Officers are appealing for witnesses following the collision, anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage is also encouraged to get in touch.”
