Dodd & Co have welcomed a cohort of 14 brand new Doddies to their expanding team.
Dodd & Co has a long history of ‘growing their own’ and despite the ongoing restrictions and effects of COVID, the latest recruits will be no different. The usual training procedures see new members of the Dodd & Co team spending their first two weeks in ‘Doddie School’, held in the office with an in-house specialist team of trainers. Due to the pandemic, Dodds are holding the new starter training via Zoom over the course of 2 months, with training blended into working in the office and from home, to ensure that social distancing can be maintained.
The new intake increases Dodd & Co’s workforce to a strong team of over 180 across both Carlisle and Penrith offices.
Joining the firm from various different backgrounds including school leavers, graduates and other business backgrounds, Emira Conlon, Emma Brough, Natalie Bolton, Barry Conlon, Dean Batey, Mathew Wragg, Kieron Long and Emma Slack have joined the team in the Carlisle office. Whilst Will Hindle, Jonathan Foster, Aimee Eckford, Lauren Bates, Tyler Slack and Freya Nash-Ceen will be based in the Penrith office.
Staff development is a huge part of Dodds’ culture, and although the ongoing global pandemic has created many hurdles and challenges to usual working patterns, Dodd & Co staff were quick to adapt to the new working procedures at home, whilst maintaining development and ongoing studies across the board. Staff have now slowly been introduced back to the office on a rota basis, and the new starters will be included in the new blended way of working as they begin building their new careers.
