Detectives investigating an incident where a man suffered a serious injury in Carlisle are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police were called at around 10.20pm yesterday (28 October) following a report of a serious assault on a 20-year-old man in Currock Road, near to Bryan Fell garage.
The man was found to have suffered a serious slash wound to his arm – believed to have been caused with a knife or other bladed article – and he was taken to Cumberland Infirmary where he remains this morning.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 43-year-old Carlisle man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
“He remains in police custody this morning.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any CCTV or dashcam footage which may show the incident or the moments leading up to it, including the presence of a silver car in the middle of the road prior to the incident.”
