Parents-to-be can now take advantage of a new Online Birth Workshop from Bumps Cumbria, designed to counteract the restrictions and social isolation of lockdown.
With face-to-face classes suspended in both the NHS and Private sectors, many new parents have been left feeling unprepared for their baby’s birth and without the instant support network that a group antenatal course can provide. Ali Lindsay from Bumps Cumbria is a practising midwife and Hypnobirthing instructor, and has designed the new Birth Workshop for the benefit of all new mums and dads, whether this is their first baby or fifth.
The one-day course will help new mums and dads learn about birth and the early days with a newborn in a live online group format. The small groups allow interaction not only with Ali but with other local parents-to-be, and places are priced at only £75 including mum and a birth partner. Topics covered will include preparing for labour, pain relief options, relaxation techniques and tips for the first few hours with your baby.
The next Workshop runs from 10am-4pm on 12th December and can be booked at www.bumpscumbria.com/courses
Bumps also offers a Hypnobirthing Course for those looking for a more in depth programme. More details of both options are available at www.bumpscumbria.com or by emailing [email protected]
